The Distillery Botanica cellar door addition was conceived as a chapel to the still, its distinctive angular roof rising toward a north-facing clerestory window. Garden beds of native and Mediterranean botanicals frame the contemporary structure against the eucalyptus-dotted hillside. Inside, the lofted ceiling creates an ethereal space, while a low window over the reflection pond bounces shifting garden light throughout the room.
